Installing Oracle JDeveloper 12.1.3 - ADF 12C (12.1.3)

Today I'm going to discuss about the installation of Oracle JDeveloper 12.1.3 to develop ADF 12C (12.1.3) compatible applications on a windows machine. This is a quick start guide, please refer Oracle documentation for detail installation instructions. https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/jdev/install/toc.htm Prerequisites Ensure that a certified JDK exists on your system. If not download and install JDK. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html Step-1 Download JDeveloper Studio from OTN website. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/downloads/index.html Step-2 Navigate to the directory where you have downloaded JDeveloper studio. I've downloaded 64 bit windows installer. Right click on the installer and run the application as administrator.  This will start the installation of JDeveloper. How to unlock sample HR schema in Oracle

Oracle provides a sample HR (Human Resource) schema. Bu default this schema is locked and if you want to use this schema for learning purpose it need to be unlocked first. Follow these steps. Connect to database as system user (SYS AS SYSDBA) with the password provided during installation. Execute the following SQL statement. ALTER USER HR IDENTIFIED BY <password> ACCOUNT UNLOCK; Replace <password> with the password you want to use. You just unlocked HR schema. Connect to HR schema and start learning. Happy learning.
